KML CREATOR, allows to create *.kml files of GOOGLE EARTH using excel files (*.xls, *.xlsx) or comma delimited files (*.csv). In order to create this *.kml files *.kml you only must use simple input data formats so that KML CREATOR could read and process the data. This formats are described below:


IMPORTANT
  • You only should enter coordinates in WGS84 datum (UTM or Geographic)
  • The maximun file size is 500 kB (0.5MB)
  • Follow the format showed below


Points file New styles!!!

Your file must follow the format showed below:


For excel files, the cell A1 must show the total amount of points, in cell A2 show if input coordinates will be Utm or Geographic coordinates (write Utm or Geo), in row 3 write the headers (you can omit that) from row 4 and ahead you must write your points information: name, longitude, latitude, description and style. If your information is in UTM coordinates, you must enter the east, north, the zone number and hemisphere. View sample files ahead. If you will upload csv files just delete row 1 and save as csv. (comma separated file).


About styles, there are some new styles for points, the 100 series represent pins, that vary on color from 101 to 108, the 200 series represent paddles, that vary on color from 201 to 208. Download format samples here.


Path files (path) New options!!!

Your file must follow the format showed below:

For excel files, the cell A1 must show the total amount of vertexes,in cell A2 show if input coordinates will be Utm or Geographic coordinates (write Utm or Geo), in row 3 write the path's name, in row 4 write the path's description and in row 5 the headers (you can omit that), from row 6 and ahead, you must write each vertex data: longitude, latitude, and elevation.
